A 36-year-old convicted felon admitted he used Snapchat to distribute child pornography.William Roman, of Egg Harbor Township, is expected to receive a 12-year stint in state prison at his scheduled Aug. 7 sentencing, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.Roman pleaded guilty the week to two counts of endangering the welfare of children by possessing and distributing child sexual assault material, officials said. He pleaded guilty to possessing child pornonraphy/child endangerment in 2017 and was sentenced to a year in county jail, online records show.Investigators began again looking into Roman’s online activities last year after getting a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.Prosecutors said they learned that Roman was using SnacChat in “hopes of building his collection of child sexual abuse material.”Our journalism needs your support.
