Ross expected to rejoin Cubs for Giants series finale originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago Manager David Ross is set to rejoin the Cubs from his COVID-19 isolation for Sunday’s series finale against the Giants, bench coach and acting manager Andy Green said Saturday. Ross and team president Jed Hoyer tested positive for COVID-19 Sept. 3 and have spent the last week isolating. Both have been symptomatic, and the Cubs have not reported any further positive tests. “You’re thankful it didn’t [spread],” Green said, “but you’re also cognizant of how quickly it can still show up in any clubhouse or any work culture.  NBC Sports “We’ll continue our vigilance, but you’re not free of this just because you dodged one bullet.” Green’s stint as the acting manager got off to a memorable start — he was ejected Sept. 3 against Pittsburgh and the rest of the Cubs coaching staff collaborated to handle managerial duties.
