After the shock exit of top men’s seed Jannik Sinner yesterday, Novak Djokovic (3) became the latest favorite to get eliminated when he was upset by 19-year-old João Fonseca on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Djokovic won the first two sets before Fonseca stormed back to take the next three sets with unrelenting, impressive shotmaking. Four-time Roland Garros champion Iga Świątek (3) and Mirra Andreeva (8) are both through to the fourth round, but Karolina Muchová (10) was dumped out by Jil Teichmann 6-1, 7-5. Casper Ruud (15) outlasted Tommy Paul (24) in five sets, winning the final three sets after the American won the first two.
