A Stoke-on-Trent man has launched a YouTube channel and Facebook group which aims to show the positive side of life in the Potteries. Dean Chapman, who has lived in Longton all his life, said he was tired of people talking the area down and wanted to celebrate some of the good things about the city. The 48-year-old, who runs Chapman Cleaning, wants to encourage city residents to post photographs and videos to his Facebook group Stoke-on-Trent Positive. He is also posting regular videos on his Deano the Ghost Hunter YouTube channel – so named because he also likes to search out spooky places – showing the beauty of the city, such as walks around the Trentham estate and Longton Park. He was prompted into action by videos like ‘Broken Stoke: Is there any hope for this once great city?’ which has now received more than 310,000 views and more than 2,500 comments on the Wandering Turnip channel.
