DENISON, Texas (KXII) – Zoe Reed, owner of Reedefined at the Katy Depot and operator of Zoe Reed Fitness, is disputing Meta’s decision to permanently disable her business Instagram accounts. Reed said she received an email on Aug. 2 stating there was a password change request on her account. She deleted the email, believing it was spam. She was then sent three emails stating she needed to appeal three disabled accounts: Zoe Reed Fitness, Shop Redefined, and a local leadership class she helps with. Appeal process Reed said the appeal process required her to submit identification and a selfie. She did so, then received notification hours later that she needed to resubmit the same information. She said she complied, and a few hours after that, was told the accounts were permanently disabled for child sexual exploitation, nudity or abuse. “I did not participate in that and that goes against everything that I’ve ever known and grown up doing,” Reed said.
