Escaped Louisiana inmate posts video to Instagram weeks after getting out – Live 5 News

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE/Gray News) – One of the escaped Louisiana inmates posted a video to Instagram two weeks after getting out of jail. According to investigators, Antoine Massey, who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16 along with nine other inmates, appeared in videos uploaded to the account @_007chucky. The account no longer shows any posts. The videos, widely circulated on social media, show Massey speaking directly to the camera, pleading his case and denying allegations related to his arrest and escape. In one of the videos, he says, “I’m one of the ones that was let out of Orleans Parish jail where they said I escaped, right?” In the video, Massey disputes reports that he threatened a jail maintenance worker to facilitate the escape. Investigators have said Massey threatened to “shank” Sterling Williams if he did not shut off water to the cell where inmates later removed a toilet and climbed through a wall to escape. Massey claims the domestic abuse battery charge that kept him in jail was based on a false report from a jealous girlfriend.
