A man from West Bengal was detained for questioning after he shared photos of himself with his “friends from Pakistan”, posing with firearms on social media, officials said on Saturday.The photos, uploaded by the man from Nadia district on his Facebook story, showed him with others holding what seemed to be AK-47-style rifles. The story was captioned “Pakistani bhaiya”, triggering alarm bells as the country remains on high alert following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.Police swung into action after screenshots of the photos were flagged to senior officials. “He was called for questioning in Krishnagar. After questioning the youth, no direct terror connection or anything alarming was found. None of his direct involvement into any group has been established yet. He is still being questioned and surveillance ,” a top official of the West Bengal Police told India Today.According to police sources, “the youth was immediately identified by sources soon after the police received the suspicious photos. He was last seen in his village during the last Eid. His parents are being questioned by the police.
