By Jeff Bowe, TTU Media Relations XENIA, Ohio – Tennessee Tech women’s golf finishes second, with Kaydi Rhodes, Chloe Griffith, and Kailey Lane landing in the top ten against a talented field at the Total Athlete Collegiate. The Golden Eagles were the only team with three individuals finishing in the Top 10. The Golden Eagles (+34) finished 12 shots back of Youngstown State (+22) with scores of 295 (Round 1), 296 (Round 2), and 307 (Round 3). Tennessee Tech finished with the second-best scores on par fours, averaging 4.17 shots, just behind Youngstown State on those holes. The Golden Eagles recorded the most pars (178) and the fourth-most birdies (26) in the tournament. Rhodes finished tied for sixth at six over par after shooting 79 in the final round. She finished one shot back of her career best (221) with a total of 222. Rhodes sank two birdies during the final 18 holes today. Griffith made just one birdie today, but posted 11 pars to hold onto a Top 10 finish. Lane sank 13 pars, but did not make a birdie during a bumpy finish to the tournament.
