Goose Hummock golf resort victim of overnight robbery – FortSaskOnline

Management at the Goose Hummock golf resort woke up to unpleasant news on Thursday (August 24) morning.  In the early hours of the day, an alert was sent out to management that the alarm had been set off.  “The alarm got tripped off at about 4:19 a.m. and we all got the phone calls,” said Brian Murray, the GM of the course. “We have a guy who lives on site, and he got here at about 4:30 a.m., just 10 minutes after.”  Upon arriving, it was discovered that the front door of the clubhouse was broken into. A quick survey of the scene found that the thieves had stolen a wide array of merchandise including clubs, shirts, a safe, liquor, and food. They even cut the internet to the clubhouse.  “[The thieves] knew what they were doing, that’s for sure,” said Murray. “We’re looking anywhere, I haven’t finished it yet, but anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 worth [of stolen goods].”  The RCMP has become involved and are currently in the process of investigating the theft.
