Gujarat Titans (GT) began their campaign with a victory over fellow newbies, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Game 4 of the IPL 2022 season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Chasing a target of 159, Gujarat was in trouble having lost the first two wickets within three overs. Captain Hardik Pandya promoted himself to No.4 and played a breezy cameo of 33 off 28 balls before being dismissed by his brother.
