Goodbye to Grinchy Finch Farewell Finch from Village Green Shopping Centre on Vimeo. A Grinchy chapter is coming to a close at Vernon’s Village Green Shopping Centre. The shopping Mecca has posted the third and final chapter in its fun trilogy featuring Grinchy village prankster Finneas E. Finch. Actor Paul Rossetti is retiring the role “as our beloved Christmas character,” says BentallGreenOak marketing director Darren Robinson. Rossetti is moving on to new opportunities, but “as soon as he told me this news, I knew we had to conceptualize a fitting retirement story for him,” says Robinson. The latest video features an exclusively local roster of cast, crew and writers. It follows Christmas season videos released in 2020 and 2021 that struck a heartwarming cord with viewers, garnering tens of thousands of views. “So, farewell Mr. Finch as we draw to a close, we’ll miss the green antics and your shiny green nose,” the narrator in the video says. But will there be a successor? That question isn’t answered, but a young prankster appears to be learning the Grinchy ropes in the holiday video. We may have to wait until next Christmas for an answer.
