Hoos Host Michigan As Part Of Thursday Doubleheader – Virginia Sports

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 5 Virginia women’s soccer team (2-0-1) goes on the road for the only time in non-conference play to face George Mason (0-3-0) in a 6 p.m. contest on Sunday (Aug. 27). QUICK KICKS Virginia is coming off its third straight shutout to start the season after playing Michigan to a draw on Thursday. Cayla White moved to 3-0 on the year and has two solo shutouts on the season in goal. White is now 21-4-4 as a starter and needs three more wins to move into the top 10 all-time at Virginia. Three Hoos have scored two goals this season with Maggie Cagle, Meredith McDermott and Allie Ross each tallying a brace this season. All three players also have five points each on the season.
