Andy Quandt has opinions about bikes. “I think your tires make way more difference for how your bike rides than frame material.” Many opinions. “There’s a bicycle surplus problem in this world.” Strong opinions. “The overall problem with the cycling world is how focused it is on turning people into cyclists.” Such hard-won wisdom doesn’t always make for great customer service. But it does make for fantastic video content, and that’s precisely what Quandt has been working on since he started his “BikeFarmer” YouTube channel in 2023. He’s not shy about sharing his opinions. His most popular videos have titles like “Bike Shop A$$H0LE tells how you’ve been duped! 10 reasons your bike is WRONG (or maybe right)!” Quandt, who grew up in Lake Mills and attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, has been involved in the Madison bike scene his entire adult life.
