(CBS12) — After a West Palm Beach teen was caught allegedly uploading child pornography to Snapchat and Discord, he told deputies it was because he “thought it was funny.”The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said that on November 1, 2024, deputies launched an investigation into two Cyber Tip reports from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NMEC) regarding images of child pornography. Through the investigation, deputies uncovered that on October 15 and 18 of 2024, Discord and Snapchat reported that a user had uploaded a file of child pornography to each platform. PBSO said that they were able to identify Austin Poignant as the user by tracing the IP address.
