Back in April, fellow Pokémon fans may have been delighted as I was to learn about the Pokémon-themed fossil and paleontology exhibit that was set to open this summer. Featuring Pikachu in one of its most adorable outfits to date, alongside iconic fossil Pokémon from generations past, the exhibit was created in partnership with multiple museums across Japan to educate children and adults about paleontology in an excitable, fun, and very unique way. The exhibit is set to tour across Japan over the next couple of years and help showcase a large number of collections from each of the museums it’s teamed up with, alongside fun Pokémon-themed exhibits that tie the fossil Pokémon and ancient lore into our own, real-world ancient history. And excitingly, now that exhibit has opened, fans who aren’t able to go visit in-person can get a much better look at what the space entails!
