University of Vermont Athletics Julia Iacampo BOSTON – Vermont concluded its indoor season on Saturday with two tenth place finishes in the New England Championships. The Catamount men collected 25 points lead by a podium finish from Will Just to finish 10th in a 23 team meet. The women picked up 21.75 points to place 10th out of 22 teams. We will rest up and get ready for our outdoor season.” HOW IT HAPPENED Will Just flew to a second-place finish for the first points of the day for Vermont in the men’s mile. He finished in 4:11.88 to grab silver and eight points. The 400m dash from Nate Wanger gave him fourth place. His time of 48.68 is the second fastest in Catamount history trailing only Justin Liechty’s 2019 mark of 48.28. Ava Hayden brought home seventh for the Catamounts in the women’s 1000m clocking a 3:03.07. In the women’s 200m dash Sydney Greenidge scooped up the final point scoring place for a point at 25.58.
