Speaking after an expanded security council meeting in Lokoja, the governor directed that all social, religious, and community activities must now end by 4 p.m. across the state until further notice. He stressed that the directive takes immediate effect and warned that any social event or religious centre that violates the order will face legal consequences. The emergency meeting, involving security agencies, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders, follows rising public anxiety over reported bandits presence in parts of the state.
