Privacy Notice Lacombe teen confesses to making social media threats A Lacombe teen was arrested Friday after the St. Tammany sheriff said they were notified of threats made on Snapchat. According to the sheriff, the Snapchat made a reference to a student planning to shoot up Monteleone Junior High.The STPSO School Resource Officer identified the student who made the threats and determined that the student had not shown up for school on Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies found the 13-year-old at his residence where the sheriff said he confessed to making the social media threats. He was taken into custody and booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center on one count of terrorizing.“We have made it very clear that law enforcement and the school system will take threats like this seriously,” Sheriff Randy Smith said in an issued statement. “We will continue to work with our schools and investigate any and all threats at our schools or to the students and faculty who attend them.
