Last Suspect Apprehended – Newport This Week

By Newport This Week Staff | on March 01, 2022 Duane Logan Captain Kevin Moreira of the Newport Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division announced this afternoon that on March 1 Duane Logan was arrested in a Warwick hotel without incident by members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force. Logan was wanted in connection to the double shooting which occurred in the early morning hours on Feb. 14 at the Friendly Sons of Newport, 3 Farewell St. Logan was apprehended with a Newport Police Department Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for conspiracy to commit murder. He was subsequently turned over to Newport Police Detectives on scene and will be arraigned in Newport District Court today.
