Lobos Begin 2025 NCAA Championships Friday at La Costa

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico travels to California this week for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. The event will begin Friday at the 7,538-yard, par-72 North Course of the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad. The Lobos advanced to the NCAA Championship by finishing third at last week’s Tallahassee Regional in Florida. The 30-team field, the five top finishers at each of the six regionals, will play the first three rounds of the event Friday-Sunday. The top 15 teams will make the cut and play the final round of stroke play on Monday. The top eight teams from stroke play will advance to match play, which will crown the national champion. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be Tuesday and the final on Wednesday. Golf Channel will televise the action live for the final three days (Monday-Wednesday) and there will be live scoring throughout the week on Scoreboard. UNM will tee off beginning at 7:47 am PT on Friday at La Costa and will tee off on Saturday beginning at 1:07 pm PT. Sunday’s tee times will be determined by the scores over the first 36 holes.
