Announcement from Creative Director Greg Manifold and Deputy Design Director Amy Cavenaile:We are excited to announce that Lucy Naland has become the designer for The Post’s newly formed Instagram team.In this role, Lucy will use her sophisticated design sense to optimize and reimagine The Post’s journalism for Instagram, working to build a daily habit for audiences on our fastest-growing social platform. She will also work to elevate The Post’s brand across our core accounts by sharpening our visual identity and building cohesion.Lucy joined The Post in 2019 as a designer for the award-winning Select app, quickly establishing herself as a top-notch visual journalist with skills ranging from motion graphics to conceptual illustration. Her Emerging News Products designs have earned recognition from the Society for News Design, including a 2020 Award of Excellence for her portfolio of work.Story continues below advertisementBefore joining The Post, Lucy interned at Sports Illustrated and The Boston Globe. She is a graduate of the S.I.
