An eight-storey, $76 million residential flat building is proposed at 7-25 Ashburner Street, after a State Significant Development application was lodged for 37 apartments, nine of them allocated as affordable housing for 15 years. At South Steyne, Manly, Council is inviting the community to have another say on the DA to redevelop Manly Life Saving Club, after additional technical documents were submitted. At 2 Nield Avenue & 137A Woodland Street, Balgowlah, a DA has gone on exhibition for boundary adjustments between the two lots and a new five-apartment building with basement parking for nine cars. Warringah Golf Club has lodged a modification to its recently approved clubhouse DA, seeking longer trading hours for its dining, function and bar areas, citing a membership surge and community interest since the new clubhouse was approved. And on the Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel table, shop-top housings at 638 Pittwater Road, Brookvale was refused over conflicts with the still-in-progress Brookvale Structure Plan, a DA for four three-storey dwellings were approved at 27 Brown Street, Forestville despite 32 objections, and a community sports facility for Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club got the green light at Jamieson Park, Narrabeen.
