Ryan Jones, Brett McGavin, James Daly, Johl Powell and Mason Obeng all found the net as Yeovil handed the Pilgrims their heaviest defeat of the season on their 350 mile journey to Somerset. Billy Rowley named an unchanged starting line up from Tuesday night’s draw with Worthing, with the Glovers looking to build on their performance under the lights. Yeovil started brightly and created the first opportunity inside two minutes. A clever drop of the shoulder from Slavi Spasov opened up space to release Powell, who found himself at a slight angle as he attempted to take aim, but Boston goalkeeper Louis Chadwick positioned himself well to clear the danger. The Glovers continued to apply pressure, with Hayden Muller driving into the box before combining with Ryan Jones. The ball was laid back to Muller just inside the area, but his effort was blocked by a Boston defender. Chadwick was called upon again before the 20 minute mark when Spasov rose to meet a cross and directed his header towards the top corner.
