By: Jacob Infald ’27, athletic communications student assistant RESULTS ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s cross country team battled Cornell and Cortland in an early season 5k at the Moakley Golf Course near Cornell’s campus. On a tough course with nearly 150 feet of elevation and multiple road crossings, the Bombers ran a controlled effort to set them up for success later in the season. The Bombers were led by sophomore Griffin Lupes . Lupes, who won the alumni run last weekend, has continued to impress in the early going. Executing the race plan to perfection, he got faster each mile and ultimately ran a 16:29 to finish fifth in the field. He was followed up by senior Elliott Painting who also finished in the top ten, running a 16:47 to finish eighth overall. He was followed by sophomore Felix Farrugia who finished 13th overall with a time of 17:13. The following Bomber finishers were runners who did not make their regional squad last fall. Sophomore Luke Ferrer finished 16th overall, running 17:18. He was followed up junior Dom Agostinelli who ran 17:26 to finish 18th. He was followed closely by junior Colin Lesher who ran 17:28 to finish 19th. Lesher is a returning varsity runner for the Bombers, who put together a solid performance
