(Express Photo by Jithendra M)PM Modi Bengaluru Visit Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced August 23 — the day on which Chandrayaan made a soft landing on moon — as the ‘National Space Day’ while Vikram lander’s touchdown spot on the lunar surface as the ‘Shiv Shakti’ point. Landing in Bengaluru early in the morning, PM Modi headed straight to ISRO Telemetry Tracking & Command Network Mission Control Complex to congratulate the scientists on the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon. PM Modi also announced that Chandrayaan-2 Lunar landing point will be called ‘Tiranga’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked the Karnataka chief minister and governor for facilitating the early morning visit. “Since I was coming from very far there was the concern of being late and I requested the CM, DCM and the Governor not to undertake difficulties so early in the morning that I would congratulate the scientists and leave.
