The business at 950 Post Road East would have food, cocktails and indoor sports, including a golf simulator. The plan has neighbors on adjacent Colonial Road concerned about noise, drinking and customers parking in their neighborhood. A meeting was held and issues were discussed. On file with the Planning and Zoning Department is a document detailing neighbors’ concerns, and how the applicants pledge to address them. An overview on file with the Planning and Zoning Commission says the plan would “create an elevated space and experience for the community to gather, indulge, and play. Whether you’re looking to improve your golf swing, watch the big game, or enjoy craft cocktails and pub bites — there’s something for everyone. The Clubhouse will offer top-of-the-line multi-sport simulator technology, including golf, football, soccer, and even ‘zombie dodgeball.’ Interactive experiences, and a superior level of hospitality will make our concept a great addition to the Westport community.” From the applicant’s presentation.
