I’ve lived in Massachusetts my whole life. So it’s awesome to know that there are more fun adventures to be had around the Bay State. I spent the better part of the year gallivanting around the state as part of our still pretty new Destinations coverage. I also got into plenty of hijinks while I was off the clock. So, to close the year, here’s a look back at the places I loved visiting the most in 2025. Hopefully, it can give you some inspiration for where to go in 2026. My 27 favorite places I visited in Massachusetts this year Intersections, an art installation by Anila Quayyum Agha, at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem.(Nick O’Malley/MassLive) 1) Peabody Essex Museum , Salem I had to go see the floating cube. That was the thought I had when I saw posts of the “Intersections” art installation popping up on social media. You can find it in Salem at the Peabody Essex Museum, one of the state’s most underrated art museums. In terms of little weekend adventures I took this year, this was one of the best.
