Connor Ormston engaged in sickening contact with the little girl online, including getting her to send sexual videos and images of herself. Posing as a 16-year-old, he told her the criminal exchanges were to be “our little secret”, a court heard. But the youngster’s mum noticed she was becoming secretive and when she checked her phone, the horrific truth was revealed. Now Ormston, 31, of Dorrington Road, Fawdon, Newcastle, has been jailed for more than five years at Newcastle Crown Court after he admitted a series of sex offences. The offending began after the youngster received a friend request on Snapchat and, curious to discover the identity of the person behind it, she accepted it. An exchange followed, including “clearly inappropriate sexual messaging”, the court heard.
