Nilles, Monica Mary (Mooney) Age 91, of Edina, MN, died peacefully at home on November 12, 2023. Born September 13, 1932 in Plymouth, WI. Graduate of Plymouth High School and Marquette University. Preceded in death by adoring husband of 65 years Gerald; parents George and Agnes Mooney; sisters Kathleen Wolf (Werner) and Patricia Bailey (Patrick). Survived by children Gregory (Peggy) of St. Louis, MO, Lisa (Mark) of Minneapolis, MN, Michael (Kathleen) of Wellesley, MA; grandchildren Kate (René), Lauren, Matt and Anna, Caitlin, Megan, John who loved their Nana; sister-in-law Carol Nilles (Robert Engler); 27 beloved nieces and nephews; and godson Teagan Nilles Livita Nammeh. Monica was grounded by her family, her friends and her faith. She brought a delightful sense of humor and the luck of the Irish to the Nilles clan. At age 14, Monica wrote, “I am crazy about children, white high shoes on little kids. I like good jokes and pranks (especially hand buzzers, voice retrievers and fake ink spots). I love to sleep, go horseback riding, and watch football and basketball games.
