The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:PANTY THEFT: On Sept. 2, Deputy Jo Redford was dispatched to Walmart where a man was seen shoplifting two pairs of women’s panties and a jar of Vaseline. The loss-prevention officer confronted the man and took away a pair of leopard-design panties, but the man fled with the remaining items.PHOTO DISPUTE: On Sept. 5, Deputy Alex Helsper was dispatched to Jennings Mill subdivision where a woman reported that people on the golf course had been killing geese. On this day, she heard men yelling about the geese, so she began taking photographs of the men. They yelled at her, called her a derogatory name, then drove up to her home on golf carts, where one man continued to lash out at the woman and her 16-year-old son. The deputy located this man driving an SUV near the clubhouse and saw him park the vehicle. He asked the 51-year-old Athens man what happened and the man replied that the woman’s son described him using an uncomplimentary word.
