Online scammers target SA Foodbank with Facebook friend requests

Online scammers are targeting supporters of a South Australian charity which helped 220,000 people during the state’s emergency bushfires and coronavirus pandemic.Fraudsters set up a fake Foodbank SA profile on Facebook at the weekend, sending friend requests to users who follow the charity’s official page.Anyone who accepted the request was sent a message telling them they’d won a prize. The only way to claim the prize was by sending through their credit card details.Online scammers are targeting a South Australian charity.
