Paedophile sent sickening texts to two children on Snapchat | Northwich Guardian

A PERVERT was jailed 23 years for no fewer than 27 sex offences involving two children on Snapchat. Mark Woodcock, of Northwich, will serve six years of his term on extended licence after his sentencing last week at Chester Crown Court. Cheshire Police said the 29-year-old, of Belmont Road, was arrested in November 2023 after he had been involved in sexual communications with a child on Snapchat. On his laptop and his phone it was apparent he had been involved in sexual communications with another child on the same app and he had dozens of indecent images. Woodcock was tight-lipped at a police interview apart from a pre-prepared statement in which he said no-one had identified themselves to him as underage at any time. However he admitted 27 sex offences including attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity and attempting to cause a child to watch sexual activity. He also admitted making indecent images of a child, possessing indecent images of a child and possessing indecent images of an animal.
