Local News Noland faces felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor A Cassandra man was taken into custody Saturday after a monthslong investigation by Allegheny Township and Cresson police revealed he had been sending a 14-year-old girl sexually explicit images over Snapchat. Steven Noland, 52, was arraigned Saturday by Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio on two felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor, single felony counts of sexual abuse of children and disseminating obscene and other sexual materials to minors and a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors. He was remanded to the Blair County Prison after being unable to post $50,000 bail. The case was brought against Noland after Allegheny Township police received a Childline referral Aug. 13 that stated the victim attended a forensic interview Aug. 12 at the Child Advocacy Center. During that interview, the victim said between April and July 2026, Noland sent her inappropriate messages and Snapchats, including a photo of Noland without any clothes on, according to the affidavit of probable cause. Following up on the report, officers learned that Cresson Borough police had opened an investigation Aug. 7 after receiving a Children and Youth investigation request.
