Police: Trail Cam Photo Posted on Facebook by Victim Helps ID Burglary Suspect

(EYT) — A Summerville man is facing burglary and theft charges after investigators say trail camera photos and a Facebook post helped identify him as a suspect in the theft of multiple items from a storage shed in Eldred Township. According to a criminal complaint filed by Marienville-based Pennsylvania State Police, the incident began on May 2, 2025, when two individuals were caught on a trail camera entering an open-sided shed and stealing several tools. The items taken included a red and black Predator 3500-watt generator valued at $700, an orange and black Wen miter saw and stand valued at $320, and a battery pack from a cellular trail camera valued at $100. Photographs from the trail camera showed the suspects between 1:57 a.m. and 2:03 a.m. Additional images were captured later that morning before the camera was disabled.
