‘Ruthless and determined’ Flint paedophile targeted young girls on Snapchat – North Wales Live

A judge slammed a “ruthless and determined” paedophile for using the death of his wife to excuse his depraved pursuit of teenage girls. Philip Bell of Bryn Road, Flint, targeted girls aged 16 years and under on Snapchat. Bell, 52, was in contact with several girls, some underage, and including a vulnerable 16-year-old who he had sex with in a hotel. Bell, who was jailed for 12 years at Mold Crown Court today also had a large collection of almost 7,000 indecent images and videos of children, with some shown in “significant pain”. He also had 100,000 more images which were uncategorised. The judge, His Honour Simon Mills, branded Bell a “dangerous” offender who posed a risk of serious harm to the public and children in particular. You can sign up for all the latest court stories here Prosecutor Simon Rogers said one victim asked Bell why he liked underaged girls. He replied that he liked their “soft skin” and “cuteness”. He added: “They are usually more fun. I love teaching them new things.” Police arrested Bell in March last year. It was suggested to him he did not have “sexual boundaries” and Bell agreed, Mr Rogers told the court.
