Snap’s head of editorial content, Rachel Richardson, is leaving the company at the beginning of 2021, Business Insider has learned. Richardson is the third manager-level employee on the content side to leave in the last six months, as well as the most senior — head of news Xana O’Neill departed in June, and the head of the entertainment vertical quietly left in November. The significant departures coincide with increased scrutiny of Snapchat’s editorial team after former employees accused the company of racist content policies and discrimination. Snap conducted a five-month internal investigation into the complaints, and concluded it “did not find a widespread pattern” of problematic behavior. Are you a Snap insider with insight to share?
