NAPC Limited, on behalf of Wells Tennis Club, has applied for permission to replace the current pavilion at the Athletic Ground, in Rowdens Road, with a new building, including “improved ancillary accommodation”. The proposed single-storey pavilion would feature a main clubroom or seating area, ancillary rooms, toilets and refreshment or kitchen facilities, measuring around 12.3m x 5.3m. “The building would be constructed on ground screws, reducing the need for extensive excavation and limiting ground disturbance,” the application said. “The replacement pavilion has been designed as a simple, robust and functional building appropriate to its recreational setting.” How the new clubhouse at Wells Tennis Club could look.
