CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 21‑year‑old Nicholas Scott on Dec. 26 and charged him with multiple counts, including endangering children and dissemination of sexual images, one count of sexual extortion and one count of use of a minor in nudity‑oriented material. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force forwarded a cybertip to the sheriff’s office on Oct. 31 about alleged online exploitation on Snapchat, the release said. Detectives identified the victim as a Missouri juvenile who believed they were chatting with a woman and sent nude images to the account, the release said. Deputies allege Scott then demanded additional images and videos and threatened to distribute them to the juvenile’s friends and family if the demands were not met. The sheriff’s office says investigators found Scott used photos and videos of an adult Colorado woman to pose as her online and solicit explicit material and money from multiple people.
