(Barren County Detention Center) BARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) – A teacher allegedly attempted to set up a sexual encounter with a student by video calling him from the shower while nude. According to a uniform citation obtained by People, police were initially contacted by the student on October 1, at which point he said that a former substitute teacher of his was communicating with him “for the purpose of meeting to have sex.” The boy, whose age and name were not released, said that the teacher, identified as 30-year-old Krystal Sims, and himself exchanged Snapchats when she substituted for his class. The victim said that shortly after exchanging information, the pair planned to meet up for sex in the nearby town of Cave City. The student recorded one of the phone calls he had with Sims on August 22, during which “a female is heard… asking if the juvenile is coming to meet with her,” per the citation.
