A teenager who got into debt over a drug habit has been spared jail. Richard Bagnall, of Ffordd Caerfyrddin, appeared before Mold Crown Court after admitting to possession of cocaine with intent to supply. Prosecutor Rosemary Proctor told the court how the 19-year-old was spotted by the cops on December 30, 2021, driving late at night in the city centre with “steamed up windows” past the Racecourse Ground on Mold Road in Wrexham. He was stopped outside some flats and was seen “visibly shaking”. The former Coleg Cambria student passed both a drug and alcohol test at the roadside. Upon further inspection, a tin was located under the carpet in Bagnall’s boot that contained just under 100 individual snap bags of cocaine worth around £1,700 in street deals, the court was told, as well as scales and empty snap bags.
