(Photos provided by the US Army All-American Bowl.) – Templeton High School Junior Colter Tannehill was named MVP of the US Army All-American National Combine held in Dallas, Texas. Tannehill will play in next year’s US Army All-American All-Star Football Game in Dallas. The 2025 All-Star game was played on Sunday, Dec 21. The US Army All-American Bowl began in 2000 with 80 of the top high school football players from across the country. Each year, 80 football players are selected based on their ability and integrity. Of those who played each year over the past 25 years, about 40% ended up in the NFL. The All-American Bowl includes a week of preparation in Frisco, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. Selected players will work out and prepare for the game with 80 of the top players in the nation. They will work with seasoned coaches and exceptional players from all over the country. The US Army All American Bowl organizers say, “Getting selected isn’t as simple as being fast enough to outrun radar or strong enough to bench press a small SUV. Sure, the scouting begins with evaluating charts, rankings, and cross-referenced data from the biggest recruiting services.
