Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, was ranked No. 5 among public universities and No. 44 overall. The top 10 includes familiar Ivy League and prestigious schools, but the list also highlights institutions like Lehigh University and Babson College for strong career outcomes. (This story was updated to add a new video.) Lehigh University is a selective Pennsylvania institution with a national reputation and a $2 billion endowment. Lehigh does well in college rankings – but usually not as well as the University of Chicago or Columbia. Yet those schools rank just above and below Lehigh in a new college ranking, titled LinkedIn Top Colleges 2026, which also features one school in Ohio. The ranking uses LinkedIn data to identify 50 colleges and universities that “best set their graduates up for career success,” in terms of internships, job placement, professional networking and other factors.
