According to a Facebook post on the Sheriff Department’s page, there is an investigation after reports of children’s Snapchats being hacked in the area.Deputies say once the hackers get into the accounts, the hacker may try to pressure the Snapchat users into giving them personal pictures. If not, it is reported they can access personal pictures from their accounts.Sheriff deputies are asking parents to speak with their children and take action. They are encouraged to delete sensitive photos from their Snapchat accounts, turn on two-factor authentication for extra security and do not give their phone number out on social media in case they are hacked.
