The Kentucky Wildcats gets a much needed victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores, 77-74. It was another close game, much like last Saturday against Mississippi State. Dontaie Allen, while not dropping 23 points like previously, did have another solid game tonight and was able to spread the floor and hit his open threes when they were needed. For BJ Boston, however, it was yet another game where the five-star struggled to get a basket. Boston once again found himself on the bench in crunch time when Kentucky needed a basket, instead going with Dontaie Allen, and rightly so. Olivier Sarr lead Kentucky with 24 points. Davion Mintz hit a go-ahead three with around 45 seconds left to take the permanent lead. After dropping six straight, the Wildcats have started 2-0 in SEC play, winning two close knit games. Nail-biter games might turn out to be a positive for this team later on down the stretch.
