UPDATE: C Hill fire evacuation precautions lifted – Nevada Appeal

SATURDAY At about 8:15 a.m., the Carson City Fire Department posted the following to Facebook: “The Carson City Fire Department, along with other agencies, is actively working to contain the fire. Evacuation precautions have been lifted, and the temporary evacuation site at Fuji Park has been closed. “The Carson City Emergency Operations Center, which was activated to support responders, is also now closed. Please avoid the area to allow responders to effectively manage the fire.” EARLIER UPDATES More than 70 firefighters are fighting a 75-acre fire on C-Hill Saturday morning. The fire broke out about 11:25 p.m. Friday. Throughout the overnight hours crews have been working to contain the fire. A  temporary evacuation at Fuji Park is closing. “Residents in the evacuation area are advised to prepare to leave if circumstances change.
