Vimeo Hires Industry Vet Matt Anchin For Top Comms Job

Matt Anchin, most recently Consumer Reports’ CCO, has been named Vimeo’s first head of communications. Anchin, most recently Consumer Reports’ CCO, is the video platform’s first communications leader. “It’s an incredible opportunity to build a communications function from scratch for one of Fast Company’s 50 most innovative companies of the year,” he said in a LinkedIn post. Anchin brings more than 20 years of in-house experience to the role. In his three years as CCO of Consumer Reports, Anchin launched an aggressive comms strategy that aimed to put CR, as well as its  research and its experts, in front of consumers.  Before that, he held senior leadership roles at Monster, Nielsen, American Express, and IBM. Anchin joins Vimeo on the heels of a major transformation of the company, which has expanded from its origins as a video viewing and sharing platform to a subscription service provider offering content creators editing tools and distribution support.
