Westborough Lions Club announces Peace Poster contest winners – Community Advocate

WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Lions Club announced winners of its 2021-2022 Peace Poster contest last month, honoring local students Anish Karthick and Arushi Vora. Karthick, who attends Mill Pond Elementary School, was the first-place winner. Gibbons Middle School student Arushi Vora placed second in the competition.  The Peace Poster contest encourages students to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through their art and creativity. The 2021-22 poster theme was “We are All Connected.” A local art teacher judged the posters based on originality, artistic merit and expression of a theme, a press release noted. The contest was open to Westborough students ages 11 to 13. The posters, likewise, were on display at the Westborough Library for viewing between Nov. 1 and Nov. 12.
