WhatsApp Bringing Quick Reactions To Status Updates, New Gallery View on Desktop App

A few weeks ago, WhatsApp rolled out reactions to WhatsApp images — a feature that was much awaited and loved by WhatsApp Users. And recently, the feature also got the option to use any emoji for their reactions, which added a lot more customisability for users.WABetaInfoNow, reports by trusty WhatsApp features tipster WABetaInfo has revealed that the reactions are now also coming to WhatsApp status updates, following the lines of Instagram and Facebook Messenger. The feature was spotted on Android beta version 2.22.16.10 in internal testing, meaning beta testers won’t get their hands on it as of now. The messaging app will allow users to soon respond to status updates instantly using eight emojis, without leaving any comments. A similar feature was also seen on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. Based on the screenshots shared in the report, the first eight emoji reactions for the status updates could be the heart eyes emoji, the LOL emoji, the wow emoji, the teardrop emoji, the high 5 emoji, the applause emoji, the celebratory-confetti emoji and the 100 emoji.It goes without saying that the feature isn’t final and is subject to further testing, which could change the way it works or even appears.
