WhatsApp’s slow Liquid Glass rollout continues Following its initial testing of the Liquid Glass redesign in October 2025, WhatsApp went on to officially release the new look only in May 2026, after months of very limited availability. Even still, the redesign hasn’t reached everyone, as many 9to5Mac readers continue to report seeing the old interface on their devices. That said, Meta has continued to expand the redesign across WhatsApp in the months since.
