WhatsApp's new update will let you hide your 'Last Seen', profile picture from select contacts

The Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow its users to hide their ‘Last Seen’, which shows the time you were last active, to select few contacts. As of now, users can share their last seen status with everyone, their contacts or hide it from everyone. According to WABetaInfo, the new privacy feature will also let users hide their About Me and profile picture from selected contacts with an option of ‘My Contacts Except’, the feature which is currently available only for WhatsApp Status. WhatsApp had first introduced the ‘My Contacts Except’ option in its privacy setting for its Status feature back in 2017 which was designed to allow users hide their status updates from select few contacts. This comes as first big move in the privacy settings option on WhatsApp since then. This new feature will be available in the new update roll out.
